§ 27-8.1. Location, removal and content of traffic-control signs.

  • (a)

    Placement and determination of content by city engineer. Henceforth, the location, removal and content of all traffic-control signs, including, but not limited to, stop signs, yield signs and speed limit signs, shall be placed and determined by the city engineer and public works director, subject to review and approval by the city manager. Prior to the implementation of any changes hereunder, the city manager shall notify the commission of such change and, if requested by any commissioner, each such change shall be considered in public hearing by the commission at a regular or special meeting.

    (b)

    Record of location and content. The city engineer shall keep a record of the location and content of all such signs in his office available for public inspection during normal business hours.

    (c)

    Adoption by city commission. All locations and determinations of content made hereunder are hereby ratified, approved and adopted by the commission of the City of Marshal.
