§ 14-1. Authority and purpose.

(a)

The purpose of this article is to protect the health of the citizens of the city by regulating the collection and transportation of garbage and solid waste.

(b)

The regulations are based on the home rule authority of the City of Marshall, City Charter, Texas Constitution and Texas Statutes including Chapter 363, Health and Safety Code.
